Anime review: Sasami-san@Ganbaranai (2013)

May's club watch, definitely a strong disappointment. Why? Because I'm an absolute SHAFT licker, to the point where you could put a Monogatari label on a dog egg and I'd eat it up then ask for seconds; I also loved Zetsubou-sensei, what I've seen of Madoka and 3-gatsu no Lion.
So yeah, my expectations were high, and the 2~3 first episodes were mostlya delight; especially the visuals. I say "mostly" because I still had to ignore the boring action/plot parts spoiling the good SoL base.
But then said plot/SoL balance started to skew in the wrong direction and never recovered before the end just "happened". Despite my SHAFTism being satisfied by the studio's execution, I really couldn't ignore that writing trainwreck full of asspulls that didn't even know what it wanted to be. But even then, the largest problem is that said writing simply didn't play the studio's strength.
Really, I just wanted SHAFT to do its magic over the suitable canvas that funny hijinks
between cute NEET Sasami-chan, her AraragiOnii-chan and the Yagami sisters is instead
of the mess we got.
6 only because SHAFT, the visuals and the first episodes being good. Also, Tama was annoying as hell.
