Movie review: Office Space (1990)

Watched me this pearl this week-end, I sincerely don't remember the last time I laughed that much in front of a movie. Poorly marketed in its home country before reaching cult status, virtually unknown here in France (except maybe the legendary printer beatdown scene)… I think it deserves way more recognition.
Each and every character was hilarious, as was the movie, from the opening traffic jam scene to the end. And I insist, there is no respite from at least smiling! Almost felt like a Dilbert best-of compilation movie at times.
In fact, this is what Mike Judge does best: translate the kind of fast-hitting soundbites found in good newspaper comic strips into motion. After all, he's the one who did Beavis and Butt-Head, co-created King of the Hill and directed Idiocracy… no wonder I had that much fun.
Maybe only those small "love story" segments with Jennifer Aniston that weren't all that necessary, but no big deal, really.
Oh, and Milton's actor deserves an Oscar.
