Music review: Acid Bath - Paegan Terrorism Tactics (1996)

Album cover

A gloomy, fuzzy and psychedelic masterpiece that anyone in love with music should know. The sound embraces and develops the "gentler" moments from When the Kite String Pops like "The Scream of the Butterfly" to end up with a fascinating blend of heavy stoner fuzz, (mostly) clear/grungy vocals and melancholic neofolk.

Nothing much to add, it's almost perfect except for the too fast "New Corpse" that clashes with the overall tone, a throwback to their previous album's manic sound.

PS: some people call this sludge, but I don't think it's the main element anymore on this release. Too far from My War's B-side.
