Music questions challenge

Saw this post pop in my feed and decided it'd be fun to pass the baton.

What are five of your favorite albums? §

I truly have no way to answer that, my list is finally down to 60 entries and I shed tears of blood to manage that feat. But here are five of these, trying to vary the genres:

What are five of your favorite songs? §

Even more impossible, I listen to full albums only. But I'll try again to find a few that stick in my head for long durations:

Favorite instrument(s)? §

These days, definitely electric guitar and computers for their versatility. Don't really understand the question from a listener's point of view, though.

What song or album are you currently listening to? §

Darkthrone - Kathaarian Life Code. Phew, not a particularly uncool result!

Do you listen to the radio? If so, how often? §

Never. Easy to guess why if you've read the previous answers.

How often do you listen to music? §

Too much, at least a few hours per day. I try to limit myself to avoid killing my passion for it.

How often do you discover music? And how do you discover music? §

Very variable, I usually have an album backlog in a text file I work through a few times a year (using Deezer or YouTube to try them). Since I listen almost exclusively to pre-Internet music, streaming services' recommendations don't serve me much. I collect those albums by saving a link for every name I don't already know of when using forums or reading reviews on RYM.

What's a song or album that you enjoy that you wish had more recognition? §

Scripting to the rescue!

$ grep -vE '^(#|$)' fav_albums.txt | \
    filter 'jqmusic '\''."rym rating".count < 200 or ."rym rating".average < 3.25'\'' ~/Music/"$it"/album.json'
Darkthrone/(1996) Goatlord
Mayhem/(2000) Grand Declaration of War
Thee Maldoror Kollective/(2002) New Era Viral Order (Dogma Slaughterhouse and the Children of Anaemia)

What's your favorite song of all time? §

As already mentioned: none

Has your taste in music evolved over the years? §

A lot, some might say. Definitely started with guitar oriented music (as a guitarist, obviously) but drifted towards more diverse genres and especially more experimental, electronic (industrial) and abstract music with time. Extreme metal still is my happy place, though, but my collection now features a lot of romantic orchestral, post-punk, alt/noise rock, post-hardcore, J-pop/J-rock and even some eurobeat!

As a related anecdote, here are a few of my oldest musical taste memories (in no order):
