Movie review: Event Horizon (1997)
One of the worst movies I've seen to date. A discount Alien with some pretty awful technobabble and a plot that went from a decently alluring "space Bermuda triangle discovery" to nonsensical crap full of the most predictable cliches imaginable.
It doesn't manage to be scary even once and had completely lost my interest by midpoint. I stayed only to get to the bottom of it, enjoy some of the visuals and laugh at the train wreck.
It gets a few points for:
- The quality gore; supposedly much more intense in the cut then lost material.
- Beautiful Joely Richardson and her cute Cleopatra nose.
